Huawei #5BringNewValue Conference- London.

After the cancellation of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei opted to launch their new portfolio in London at an event for industry analysts and Media.

The event revealed a company obsessed with technology and engineering with a Corporate culture influenced by German manufacturing conglomerates. The usage of artificial intelligence to reduce energy and improve the efficiency of the equipment was something that captured my attention and that will be appreciated by system integrators and telecoms, considering decarbonization and sustainability.

Huawei engineers believe and feel responsible for their products.

The level of detail revealed during the event is appreciated by analysts but can be overwhelming for journalists who don’t have a technical background.

For me it was particularly interesting to see the presentations being delivered by Chinese executives considering that most events in Europe are often restricted to panellists from Germany, UK, France or the Nordics.

There was an effort for transparency and to encourage participants to ask questions with no pressure on the time, something not common in the industry.

Huawei technology is getting greener with 5G towers that are more energy-efficient than in 4G supporting customers sustainable goals.

For me, it was quite interesting to meet with of their executives and with some the UK most interesting B2B influencers like Ian Calvert, Sally Eaves and Thomas Pover.

This type of events focused on expert guests are becoming more frequent in the industry and if done well can help brands to achieve objectives just like traditional conferences.
