As global conversations around inclusion and accessibility continue to gain momentum, companies and organizations are increasingly taking steps to improve their practices. There are different ways to achieve this goal, but the basic idea remains the same. The goal is to create an accessible and inclusive environment for all employees.

Navigating the complexities of implementing inclusion and accessibility measures across an organization can be daunting. However, it is essential to recognize that the journey towards a more inclusive and accessible workplace must be a continuous process.

Organizations need to identify and leverage internal resources to make progress, like employees who serve as the interface for the accessibility program across various departments. These Spocs work on different work streams, such as procurement, marketing and communications, recruitment and retention, and data gathering.

Large organizations with tens of thousands of employees can expect the journey towards accessibility and inclusion to be complex and time-consuming.

To succeed, companies need to engage with the community and understand the need for patience during this process. While it may take time to see significant changes, the ultimate goal of achieving systemic change remains the driving force behind these efforts. By working together, organizations can create a more inclusive and accessible environment for all.
